Leonardo Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom Job Description We are looking for a Senior or Principal Digital Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) Development Engineer at various levels to join Leonardo in Edinburgh (or Newcastle with travel to the Edinburgh office during hardware testing stages). We are a world-class defence technology company. We develop cutting-edge Radars for the Eurofighter Typhoon and SAAB Gripen fighter jets, as well as Maritime and Airborne surveillance systems. What You'll Bring This is an exciting opportunity for you as an experienced engineer to bring your skillset and knowledge into our working environment. Familiarity with the Leonardo hardware design review process and Team Centre Unify configuration management tool would be preferable. You will: Support the hardware lifecycle of a design, through the design review process, design verification testing and unit test of a range of PCAs within a radar system Have knowledge of high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards that utilise the latest FPGA, microprocessor and high-speed interconnect technologies Produce design review packs for each stage of the PCA design Pursue the PCAs through the configuration management tool Carry out design verification testing (and record outcomes) of each PCA Fully document and record your work products; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports Have personal attributes and values that are just as important to us as technical ability, so we are looking for engineers with a willingness to learn, progress and develop through our devoted technical career path. Security Clearance This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
