We're recruiting for a talented and motivated Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to join our growing Special Interest Projects team, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

What you'll be doing:

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll lead and support the delivery of a broad range of exciting projects-both large and small-across RIBA Stages 2-7. Our work spans energy infrastructure (such as substations), commercial, industrial, and leisure developments, as well as unique and remote projects.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and undertake detailed design and specification of LV electrical installations and distribution systems. Specify switchgear, transformers, control equipment, and associated cabling. Prepare feasibility studies, concept designs, and implementation strategies. Produce and review design documentation including models, drawings, calculations, and specifications. Mentor junior engineers and review work to ensure technical excellence and compliance with standards. Attend site and design meetings, helping manage workload and project delivery. Support business development and work-winning initiatives. Act as Job Manager on relevant projects, working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams.

What we're looking for:

Degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field. Chartered or working towards chartership with CIBSE or IET. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally including project management responsibility. Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, Amtech, Dialux, and clash detection workflows. Strong understanding of UK and Scottish Building Regulations and British Standards. Knowledge of ISO 19650 and broader information management standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience in HV design is a bonus
