Your new role

As our new Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer, you will work as part of a team, manage your own project work, undertake detailed design to required standards, and maintain excellent client service. You will be part of a team with a strong focus on technical delivery and client care, contributing to a variety of project work. There is also potential to engage in international projects if desired. The environment supports collaboration, development, and growth.

Your key responsibilities

  • Take a key role representing Ramboll on MEP projects, leading your own discipline and, for suitably sized projects, managing engineers of a complementary discipline
  • Complete detailed designs and supervise the work of others in this function
  • Mentor and assist with the development of junior engineers
  • Manage time on projects to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks as stipulated by the Ramboll project manager
  • Coordinate tasks and allocate resources to meet deadlines and manage project finances when acting as Ramboll project manager

About you

Ramboll supports your personal and professional development. For this role, the following qualifications, skills, and capabilities are identified as key to success:

  • Qualified engineer with a proven track record in their discipline
  • CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree, or an HNC in an applicable discipline with commitment to higher education
  • Progress towards IEng or CEng status
  • Ability to work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects of the discipline or possess specialist experience
  • Ability to inspire confidence internally and externally to strengthen client relationships
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools
