Job Overview

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated verification engineer to join the Arm Systems Media IP team. The team develops Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs for Arm Compute Subsystems across automotive, IoT, and client markets. Our intellectual property includes RTL, reference drivers, tools, and libraries to enable customers to build innovative products.

Responsibilities

  • Specify and develop new hardware verification testbenches for future generation hardware IP.
  • Improve existing testbenches to increase performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Identify areas for process and methodology improvements and implement changes to advance hardware verification best practices.
  • Architect verification IP and full verification environments as required.
  • Review and assess proposed design changes from a verification complexity perspective.
  • Analyze data from simulation runs using machine learning and data science techniques to drive efficient bug discovery and debugging.
  • Identify cross-Media IP process or methodology improvement opportunities and implement changes to improve verification efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other Arm engineering teams to deliver high-quality IP that works in a complete system.
  • Mentor and support other team members.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Experience with constrained-random verification, ownership of a complex verification environment, and creating testbenches.
  • Experience developing reusable and scalable code with in-depth knowledge of SV-UVM.
  • Strong scripting skills to support new and existing flows.
  • Solid software engineering skills, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes for developing testbenches and completing all aspects of the verification process.
  • Prior technical and/or team leadership experience for more senior roles.

Nice To Have Skills And Experience

  • Team leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Multiprocessing microarchitecture experience with knowledge of bus protocols (e.g., AMBA APB/AHB/AXI).
  • Past experience in Formal Verification testbenches.
  • Experience in video codec, ISP, or display projects with knowledge of advanced image processing algorithms.
  • Experience of Functional Safety product development for Automotive (ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration flows.
