OverviewJob Title: Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical Bias)Location: Aintree (first project), Ellesmere Port (second project)Contract Type: Outside IR35Duration: 6 months initially (likely extension through to end of 2026)Rate: £40-£50 per hourWorking Arrangement: Fully OnsiteResponsibilitiesLead and deliver commissioning activities on-site for large-scale mechanical systems within food & beverage environments.Apply mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, optimise, and validate equipment during commissioning.Ensure compliance with ATEX directives and hazardous area standards throughout commissioning.Commission and validate bulk material handling systems including conveyors and silos.Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to meet project timelines and quality requirements.Produce technical reports, commissioning records, and handover documentation.Provide practical, hands-on engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.QualificationsExtensive experience as a Commissioning Engineer with a mechanical bias.Proven track record on large-scale/capital projects in the food & beverage industry (food processing/manufacturing strongly).Hands-on experience with ATEX projects and hazardous area commissioning.Strong knowledge of conveying systems, silos, and bulk material handling equipment.Ability to interpret and work from P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and technical documents.Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Ability to work fully onsite at client locations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
