Rate: £42 per hour pay rate (stay away) £37 per hour pay rate (local)

Location: Nottingham (with mix of commissioning and reactive service work on customer sites) Hours: 40 hours per week Contract Length: Initial 3 Months (with potential extension)

Their services span PLC programming, HMI software, hardware design, panel manufacture, installation, commissioning, and ongoing technical support.

The contractor

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning & Service Engineer to support our growing client base across automation and production machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and servicing of electrical and control systems, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability in the field. You’ll support the engineering team on both new system commissioning and reactive service projects, stepping in when clients need technical expertise to keep automated systems running. This role has opened due to new project wins, and you’ll play a key part in ensuring high-quality delivery.
