Service Desk Engineer

Overview
This is a PAYE contract role with a leader in the Fintech space. It is a hybrid position requiring on-site work in the London hub 3-5 days per week to provide essential IT support.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-office support for the London hub, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
- Troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues across macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Windows and Android.
- Support critical SaaS tools and manage on- and off-boarding processes.
- Document and refine IT procedures to boost efficiency across the organization.
- Act as a key technical point of contact for local product and operations teams.
- Assist with logistics and vendor coordination alongside the IT Procurement team.
- Handle initial troubleshooting for network connectivity, AV and desk setup issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven technical support experience across multiple operating systems.
- Experience with a ticketing system such as Jira Service Desk.
- Mid-level networking knowledge and strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Solid administration skills in Google for Business, Atlassian, Okta, Jamf and Slack.
- Demonstrable experience with root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Experience project managing medium-scale rollouts is a nice-to-have.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Contract: PAYE Inside IR35.
- Hourly rate: £29.68 – £35.44 p/h (£237-£283 a day) - contract initially until 31/01/2026.
- Days onsite: 3-5 days a week based on need; otherwise hybrid.
- Location: London.
