The role involves a mix of service, maintenance, installation, and fault-finding on automatic and industrial door systems with strong overtime potential and a standout benefits package.Territory CoverageThis is a field-based role covering:Core Areas: Leicester (LE), Peterborough (PE), Coventry (CV), Northampton (NN), Milton Keynes (MK), Hitchin (SG), Luton (LU)Occasional Travel: Nottingham (NG), Derby (DE), Birmingham (B)What Youll Be DoingInstall, service, and maintain automatic doors, industrial doors, and shuttersDiagnose faults and carry out effective repairsComplete all job documentation via tablet (iPad provided)Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5/6 weeks) with standby & call-out payMaintain excellent customer relationships on-siteEnsure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance standardsWhat Were Looking ForEssential:Minimum of 2 years experience as an automatic door engineer.EN16005 or BS7036 qualified (or willing to obtain)Confident with diagnostics and mechanical/electrical systemsFull UK driving licenceIT literate comfortable using tablets and basic softwareDesirable:Experience with industrial doors (desirable)IPAF, PASMA or CSCS cardsExperience with shutters, sectional doors, or fire doorsExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skillsWhats On OfferPay & Hours:Basic Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (based on hourly rate)OTE: £60,000+ achievable with overtime, on-call, and bonusesHours: Paid door-to-doorOvertime: Time and a half, double time on Sundays/bank holidaysOn-Call Details:1 in 5 or 6 weeks£175 per week standby payAdditional £50 if attending 4 jobs during standby£50 bonus for midnight callouts + 11 hours rest paid the next dayEquipment Provided:Company van & fuel cardPower tools, hand tools, uniform & PPEiPad for job managementScrewfix card for materialsBenefits Package:25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (option to buy 5 more)Private medical insurance (family cover options available)Enhanced pension contributions10 days company-paid sick leave per yearLife Assurance (2x annual salary)Eye care, dental cover & 24/7 counselling/GP accessContinuous training & development, with clear progression routesWhy Apply?Youll be joining a company with a solid reputation in the industry and a people-first approach.
