We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer with proven experience in industrial and commercial heating and refrigeration systems to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical/electrical engineering background who thrives on solving problems, building customer relationships, and delivering high-quality service.

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

  • Carry out service and maintenance tasks on industrial and commercial heating and refrigeration systems, producing clear and comprehensive reports on findings.

  • Install spare parts and perform service inspections in line with established procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and investigate issues, providing detailed written documentation.

  • Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment while ensuring all required documentation is completed.

  • Travel as required for job-related purposes.

  • Maintain safe working practices at all times, adhering to company Health & Safety policies.

  • Provide ongoing feedback on market conditions to support business development.

  • Represent the company on-site with professionalism and integrity.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

  • Identify service sales opportunities within the customer base and develop new business opportunities with prospective clients.

  • Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Mechanical/electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining machinery.

  • Proven experience in industrial and commercial heating & refrigeration (essential).

  • City & Guilds 2079 qualification (essential).

  • City & Guilds 2078 (Ammonia) preferred.

  • Strong technical expertise across a variety of machinery.

  • Logical and structured approach to fault-finding.

  • Innovative thinker and natural problem-solver.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of product/systems and industry developments.

  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships and contribute to business growth.
