Overview

As our new Service Engineer, Drives – EMEA, you’ll play a key role in delivering world-class service and technical support to customers across the EMEA region, with a primary focus on the United Kingdom. Your impact is fast, effective case resolution, stronger customer satisfaction, and knowledge sharing across the organization. You will work as part of our EMEA Technical Support Team within the Service Delivery Organization, collaborating closely with Sales Companies, Service Partners, and Customers, ensuring every service engagement is timely, effective, and customer focused. Preferred location: United Kingdom (Hinckley, Leicestershire office).

You’ll join a dynamic, professional, and collaborative international team that thrives on solving complex technical challenges while delivering outstanding customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert technical support: Provide high-quality, customer-focused support for local and regional service cases.
  • Coordinate and resolve cases: Take full ownership of service cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution in collaboration with service and sales teams.
  • Engage directly with customers: Diagnose challenges, deliver solutions, and ensure outcomes exceed expectations.
  • Share knowledge: Actively share lessons learned and best practices to support continuous improvement across teams.
  • Support on-site needs: Conduct site visits (approximately 30 days/year) to resolve complex issues and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Firsthand knowledge of variable speed drives and ability to interpret electrical schematics/technical documentation.
  • Technical tools: Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and openness to adopting new digital tools.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills.
  • Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured approach, customer-oriented, initiative-taking learner.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel regionally as needed (approximately 30 days/year).

You will collaborate with the EMEA Technical Support Team, Service Partners, and Customers to ensure every service engagement is timely, effective, and customer-focused.
