Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Reliability Engineer/ to join our team. This role is pivotal in helping our clients visualise and implement improvements to their IT landscapes, focusing on system reliability and observability. You will be responsible for developing a high-level blueprint model that aligns with the clients objectives. Additionally, as a subject matter expert, you will engage in a Reliability & Observability Maturity Assessment across selected client products or services, delivering insights into best practises, industry standards, observations, recommendations, and the associated benefits. This role requires facilitation of client-facing workshops and interviews to gather valuable input.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic insights to be included in a future IT Service Management Blueprint for Reliability.
- Create relevant blueprint artefacts addressing Process, Organisation, Technology, and Information (POTI) concerns.
- Plan and facilitate workshops with client stakeholders to co-create the blueprint.
- Offer expertise in establishing a maturity baseline and target for reliability capabilities.
- Coordinate and support maturity workshops with stakeholder participation across Service Delivery and selected Business Units.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience in solution reliability and availability engineering.
- Ability to identify, document, and articulate risks impacting system reliability and availability.
- Proficient in conducting Failure Analysis such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify potential failure points.
- Experience in availability design for IT systems and services, ensuring non-functional requirements are met.
- Skills in monitoring system availability, leveraging tools and dashboards to detect issues and identify trends.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management, including Bridge, SOC, and NOC operations, to support necessary availability levels.
- A commitment to continuous improvement in reliability and availability practises.
- Strong understanding of IT Lifecycle Management in relation to reliability and availability.
- Effective stakeholder management and collaborative working skills.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management processes.
