Responsibilities



  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements for the building, keeping certificates up to date and filed in the designated Building Logbooks.

  • Take responsibility for the effective repair of defects and the safe, efficient operation of the building, plant, and equipment.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and colleagues.

  • Utilize Building Link as a tool to efficiently manage reactive help desk requests and provide appropriate feedback on activities undertaken and their status.

  • Learn and use the CAFM system to receive task sheets and work requests, completing tasks efficiently in accordance with agreed specifications and within designated service level agreements.

  • Provide feedback to the TSM on various software platforms, suggesting improvements related to H&S, plant and equipment status, incomplete asset information, maintenance tasks, and energy efficiency initiatives.

  • Maintain and operate building plant and systems, including but not limited to boilers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, fans, electrical distribution, pipework, ductwork, and garage plant, within established guidelines.

  • Interrogate the Building Management System (BMS) for alarm conditions, incorrect operation, time scheduling, set points, etc., and respond accordingly.

  • Carry required communication equipment, respond promptly to requests, and report back with the status of repairs.

  • Follow designated procedures if a fire alarm is raised, ensuring the sprinkler system and emergency generator operate as required. Isolate systems as directed by the duty manager or London Fire Brigade.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience as an Engineer with a suitable electrical or mechanical qualification.

  • Experience in a 5 ultra-luxury environment is desirable.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
