My client is currently recruiting at their plant in St Dennis, Cornwall for a Shift Engineer and are particularly interested in hearing from ex Royal Navy Marine Engineers with either Mechanical or Electrical bias. This is a shift-based role rotating on a 6 week basis covering days, lates, nights and weekends.

Shift Engineer Responsibilities:

* Operate the facility whilst working within a shift system ensuring site rules and contractual requirements are adhered to and met. Liaise with relevant contractors and suppliers including ordering/receiving/recording spares/fuel and support services as required.

* Assist in planned and unplanned maintenance in all areas of the facility.

* Carry out isolations and issuing of safety to work documents up to 400KV.

* Attend plant meetings or breakdowns when required which may be outside of normal working hours.

* Provide cover support within the shift rota.

Shift Engineer Requirements:

* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background with experience of working in a similar environment.

* Must have strong electrical skills.
