About the Role

We are excited to invite a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our dynamic Engineering team at the Ossett Production Facility. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive technical support to our Production function under the guidance of the Engineering Maintenance Manager.

Your mission will be to ensure the mechanical and electrical integrity of our equipment by:

• Conducting effective planned maintenance inspections and reviewing parts used.
• Recommending improvements to maintenance schedules and performing safety checks in line with legislation.
• Overhauling and repairing plant equipment while monitoring conditions and reporting defects.
• Completing stores requisitions for parts and contract services.
• Performing in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and process failures.
• Helping to generate and maintain compliance with SOPs and Risk Assessments.
• Reporting plant performance and ensuring action on non-conformance issues.
• Effectively communicating operational key information to colleagues and shift teams.
• Supporting site services as required.

This is a permanent, full-time position operating on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, so flexibility in working hours is essential.

Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off / 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off / 3 days, 2 nights, 5 off (14 shifts across 28 days, 7 days and 7 nights).

What You Can Bring to the Role

• A formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3, or equivalent in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline, along with practical experience.
• Experience in continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• PLC automation skills are a plus but not mandatory.
• Training experience is advantageous.
• A commitment to upholding high engineering standards.
• A strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership.
• Flexibility around working hours.
