Purpose of the Shift Engineer: The shift engineer will provide essential engineering expertise to support Operations in reducing and eliminating downtime. This role involves both proactive and reactive maintenance. Main duties and responsibilities of the Shift Engineer: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Identifying and resolving any potential issues before they cause failures. Respond rapidly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose the problems and perform repairs or report back to engineering team leader if external specialists are required. Carry out machine adjustments, Size changes, machine settings when mods are made. This is to help support the production function. Monitor and Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and safe standards are met.
