RTL Group are partnering with leading principal contractor who are seeking a Site Engineer to work on a major highways project in Inverness.
This is a contract role running for 18-24 months, starting Monday 17th September, offering an excellent opportunity for an engineer to play a critical role in the successful delivery of one of Scotland’s biggest infrastructure schemes to date.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform all setting out activities on site to ensure works are accurately positioned in line with design.
* Provide day-to-day site engineering support and technical input.
* Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Assist with site inspections, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
* Produce and maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven site engineering and setting out experience, ideally on water treatment or heavy civils projects.
* Familiar with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
* Competent use of surveying equipment (total station, GPS, levels).
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
* CSCS card holder (essential).
* Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction.
