Our client is a specialist piling and ground engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects across the UK. Due to a strong pipeline of work in Scotland, they are looking to appoint a Piling Site Engineer to join their team permanently, based in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer with piling experience to take ownership on-site and grow within a well-established, forward-thinking business.
Role Overview: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing piling operations on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme. You’ll work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure technical and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and supervision of piling works (CFA, rotary, or driven piling depending on the project)
*
Ensuring piling works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and drawings
*
Daily site reporting and record keeping
*
Assisting in lift plans, method statements and risk assessments
*
Working closely with the site supervisor and rig operators to maintain safe and efficient operations
*
Monitoring progress against programme and resolving technical/site issues
*
Supporting QA processes including concrete cube testing and pile integrity testing coordination
*
Liaising with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders on technical matters
Requirements:
*
HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
*
Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within the piling or geotechnical sector
*
Strong setting out skills and familiar with relevant surveying equipment
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Valid CSCS card
*
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Willingness to travel and work on various sites as needed
