Overview

Our client is a leading SaaS and technology company, building innovative solutions for Data Management, Analytics and Machine Learning. They’re looking to hire an experienced Linux Engineer with experience across Ansible, Packer and AWS. 2 days a week in the office, hybrid, initial 6 months, inside IR35 and paying up to £600 per day.

From day one you’ll be involved in the design, build, implementation and support of innovative Linux systems with a focus on availability, performance, reliability, and security - From bare-metal through to virtualisation, AWS Cloud and automation. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of projects, tools and technologies and have real ownership of your work – a very varied challenge!

Responsibilities

From day one you’ll be involved in the design, build, implementation and support of Linux systems with a focus on availability, performance, reliability, and security, including:

• From bare-metal through to virtualization, AWS Cloud and automation
• Working across a range of projects and technologies
• Taking real ownership of your work and driving outcomes

Requirements

• Proven experience of Linux administration and engineering
• Great understanding of RPM packaging, systems, networking and storage
• Knowledge of Ansible and DevOps methods
• Excellent communication skills and a motivated, proactive approach to work
• The ability to take the lead on work and drive projects forwards
