OverviewSoftware Automation Engineer | 6 Month Contract | Glasgow | £500-600 p/dayWe’re looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a major financial client on a contract basis. This role focuses on the development side of automation, building robust frameworks and tooling that streamline post-code release processes and enhance software delivery.Location: Glasgow (5 days onsite)Contract: 6 Months (IIR35)Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain automation solutions in Java & Spring BootFocus on post-release automation to improve deployment and deliveryCollaborate closely with developers and testers to optimise release processesEnsure frameworks are scalable, maintainable, and performantKey SkillsStrong hands-on coding experience in Java (essential)Proficiency with Spring BootSolid background in automation within software engineering environmentsAbility to develop tools that support and improve release cyclesStrong problem-solving mindset and collaboration skillsExperience in financial services is essentialEligibility & LogisticsCandidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location.
