Software Engineer – AI & Data Platforms - Government We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join a high-profile programme building secure, scalable digital platforms that integrate advanced AI services. You will be part of a cross-functional scrum team, developing the foundational business layer that powers next-generation personalised digital journeys. Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain backend services in a serverless, event-driven architecture. Deliver secure, scalable solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda. Implement best practices in secure coding, compliance, and data protection. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to integrate AI-driven services. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring. Work in an agile environment, contributing to iterative delivery and technical documentation.Essential Skills
Strong software engineering expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript. Proven experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures. Track record delivering secure, scalable digital services in high-volume environments. Knowledge of agile delivery, automated testing, and CI/CD. Familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance standards.Desirable Skills
Background in security engineering (for one of the engineer roles). Experience integrating AI/LLM services into production systems. Knowledge of accessibility standards and government service patterns
