Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product, design, analytics and other teams across the company to deliver impactful experiences to Wise’s customers - as a cross functional team
• Take responsibility for the overall health and quality of the Android codebase that powers Wise’s onboarding experience
• Work closely with your lead to own Wise’s Android onboarding product flows and architecture and help shape your team’s technical roadmap
• Work with the wider Android Guild at Wise to maintain and evolve the Android codebase and ecosystem to keep application performance, responsiveness, load times, and stability high

Qualifications

• Experience in building and deploying a native Android app
• Proficiency in building Android apps in Kotlin
• Familiarity with modern app architectures like Unidirectional Data Flow, Dependency Injection, Structured Concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines
• Ability to define and implement good test strategies, including unit, integration, UI, and snapshot tests where appropriate
• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to collaborate effectively with your team and solve problems independently and proactively

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Experience collaborating with other platforms like Web or iOS
• Experience with API design and concepts like RESTful APIs

What Do We Offer

• Starting salary: £65,000-£85,000 + Generous RSU package
