We are hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to the evolution of event-driven financial applications and backend services. This position includes hands-on development, collaboration on architectural improvements, and responsibility for deploying services using Kubernetes and EKS. A cloud-agnostic mindset and familiarity with AWS serverless tools are critical to success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend components supporting financial workflows and system integrations.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, and DynamoDB to implement scalable solutions.
  • Deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes and EKS.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure CI/CD automation, testing coverage, and deployment reliability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional technical discussions.
  • Resolve production issues and contribute to ongoing system monitoring and observability improvements.
  • Support infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Promote maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.

Required Skills, Qualifications, And Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer and electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Back-end software development experience within agile teams.
  • Professional experience with object-oriented programming languages.
  • Cloud-based applications, serverless solutions development experience.
  • Strong experience in backend development using Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS for container orchestration.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments.
  • Experience in financial systems is a strong advantage.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize data, and provide recommendations effectively.
