Overview

Software Engineer - Fixed Income Trading (Java). One of London's pre-eminent Quant Trading firms is looking to engage with a product-focused Java engineer to overhaul the firm’s OTC Trading Infrastructure and augment their position in Global Fixed Income Trading Markets.

You will work directly with senior leaders, traders and other engineers to build a best-in-class Trade Capture platform for instrument definition and reference data for both listed and OTC products alongside a next-generation Multi-Asset Order Management System.

This tech-centric firm designs and builds PB-scale distributed systems with high throughput to support millions of trades daily and 24/7 availability.

Responsibilities

• Build a best-in-class Trade Capture platform for instrument definition and reference data for both listed and OTC products.
• Develop a next-generation Multi-Asset Order Management System.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, traders and engineers to design and build high-throughput, distributed systems with 24/7 availability.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or other STEM discipline.
• Elite programming proficiency in Java; experience with multiple programming languages is desirable.
• 3-8 years of backend software engineering experience with complex, multi-site architectures and exposure to a variety of database technologies in finance or technology environments.
• Exposure to large-scale data platforms/architecture and/or Order Management Systems is advantageous.
• Strong motivation to work in a hands-on, collaborative environment with excellent communication and attention to detail.
