OverviewSoftware Engineer - Integration / AndroidX at V-Nova Ltd. We are looking for a software engineer to join the integrations team. The role involves working with video and compression technology across mobile and desktop platforms, in collaboration with teams across media and device ecosystems. The position offers opportunities to contribute to and grow with a diverse, multiskilled team.ResponsibilitiesWork with the decoder and encoder teams to support maintenance and improvements in the core C++ codec integration layers.Integrate other V-Nova compression solutions (e.g., VC6, point cloud compression) into video editing/creation applications.Engage with the open-source community to contribute upstream changes to video player projects and assist with their integration of LCEVC.Participate in development activity planning, including sprint planning and refinement to discuss new features or issues for upcoming sprints.Provide status reporting, including participation in daily stand-up meetings and reporting on status, issues and successes.Qualifications / ExperienceDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or relevant work experience.Experience developing system-level software for Android operating systems.Experience with C/C++ and other languages such as Java.Interest in developing system-level software for iOS or desktop OS for third-party applications.Interest in video codecs and video streaming technology.Excellent communication skills with ability to document requirements and progress clearly.Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban and tools like Jira.Experience developing Android applications, preferably video-based using ExoPlayer or AndroidX/Media, and using the Android NDK.Experience with FFmpeg or its key components, either using or developing for it.iOS development experience using Swift and Objective-C.Knowledge of video codecs, encoding, and streaming technology.
