Software Engineer, iOS Core Product – London, United Kingdom. Speechify is building text-to-speech products to help people read and learn. Speechify’s iOS app is a key product alongside its Android App, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Speechify is distributed and remote-first with a global team and a focus on creating great user experiences.

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to support our growing user base and work on new projects to push our product forward. The company emphasizes a flat organization where technical excellence and delivering results fast are valued, with a focus on strong communication and a winning mindset.

What You’ll Do

• Opportunity to lead key engineering and product decisions
• Actively shipping production code for the Speechify iOS app
• Work within a dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
• Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Experience on products that scaled to a large user base
• Track record of taking products from inception to traction and being responsible for the engineering of the product
• Customer obsession and focus on delivering the best possible user experience
• Product thinking with the ability to support internal teams and designers
• Speed and focus; ability to ship ideas quickly and know what can ship now
• Strong focus and ability to work in a high-growth, remote team
• Technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI

Technical Requirements

• Swift Programming Language
• SwiftUI experience
• Experience in Multithreading Programming
• Working with CI/CD infrastructure
• Experience with Fastlane
• SOLID principles and writing well-structured, maintainable code
• Experience with Git and understanding of different Git strategies
