Our global technology client is looking for an experienced
Software Engineer
to join their pioneering Reality Labs research team, working on the next generation of immersive devices such as smart glasses and VR headsets. This role focuses on building and optimising systems for
audio, video, and sensor data collection , ensuring efficient, reliable, and accurate capture from cutting-edge prototype devices. What You’ll Do
Develop Python-based software for integrating and managing prototype wearable devices. optimise the distributed data collection platform to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Work with
audio, video, and inertial measurement
recording equipment. Deploy, test, and monitor system upgrades. Debug and perform root cause analysis on hardware/software issues onsite. Collaborate with engineers and researchers to scope tasks, design solutions, and implement best practices. What You’ll Bring
Required: 8+ years in software engineering. Linux and shell scripting proficiency. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and distributed systems. Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks. Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Experience with hardware multimedia sensors. Knowledge of audio, video, and image formats. Database experience (SQL, NoSQL, or graph). Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, JS). Why Join
