Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails | £60,000 | Nottingham / Hybrid

Akkodis are proud to be looking for a talented Software Engineer to join a growing team, offering the chance to work on exciting projects using Ruby on Rails, cloud-native technologies, and AI-driven solutions. They are a leading firm with a platform that's utilised by companies across various sectors. It is a SaaS platform and a "one stop shop" that allows organisations to operate more efficiently.

In this role, you\'ll act as a product advocate across the business, championing best practices and professional coding standards. You\'ll play a key part in evolving our engineering culture, helping to drive cloud-native adoption, and mentoring junior team members. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails, C#, object-oriented principles, and modern JavaScript frameworks will be essential as you deliver robust, scalable applications and maintain strong version control with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Act as a product advocate across the business, championing best practices and professional coding standards.
• Help evolve the engineering culture, drive cloud-native adoption, and mentor junior team members.
• Deliver robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails, C#, object-oriented principles, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Maintain strong version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Communicate clearly and adapt to change to shape products and team growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, C#, object-oriented programming, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS or similar), SQL databases, and Linux or OS-X command line.

Benefits

£60,000 depending on experience, excellent benefits package, and 3 days working from their modern office based near Nottingham.
