Role overview

We’re looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team supporting a public sector client. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing backend systems and APIs using Node.js. Working in an agile environment, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, efficient, and user-centred services that support government operations and public users.

Technical requirements:

• Strong experience with Node.js, hapi and Express
• Proven ability to build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of software development best practices
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with public sector or regulated environments (nice to have)
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
