Our client, a specialist digital consultancy supporting national security and defence programmes, is expanding its engineering team in Gloucester. With a strong focus on secure data processing and cloud-based solutions, they deliver mission-critical software for government clients in highly sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document software components.
• Analyse and resolve code defects with timely fixes.
• Estimate development effort and contribute to planning.
• Work on AWS cloud infrastructure and data processing pipelines.
• Mentor junior developers and support agile delivery teams.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in back-end languages: Java, C++, Node.js, Python, C.
• Experience or interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Microservices).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Collaborative team player with agile delivery experience.
