Edge Impulse has joined forces with the Mobile and Industrial IoT division of Qualcomm, and we are growing our team because Edge AI is an important part of Qualcomm’s diversification roadmap. Edge Impulse streamlines the creation of AI and machine learning models for edge hardware, enabling devices to make decisions and gain insights where data is gathered. We support customers launching AI-empowered devices globally to solve complex problems with novel high-tech solutions, across health, wearable, industrial, and silicon vendors.

This technical pre-sales engineering opportunity works with customers to build and optimize their data management and machine learning strategy, focusing on device-aware machine learning, data onboarding, curation, tuning, and extensibility. Primary Responsibilities

  • Guide and collaborate with prospective customers as a trusted technical advisor to design and optimize their data management, machine learning workflow, and model deployment with Edge Impulse.
  • Contribute to sales & marketing activities by participating in events, visiting prospects, and performing presentations and demonstrations.
  • Work with engineering and account management teams to envision machine learning solutions and solve technical challenges for intelligent devices in industries such as industrial productivity, digital health, and more.
  • Develop transformation, processing, training, and deployment code to create machine learning models from large datasets and deploy to resource-constrained devices.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Track record of multi-disciplinary problem solving and working across domains, teams, and companies to develop complex technical solutions.
  • Experience developing embedded or cloud software (Python, C/C++, or equivalent) with exposure to Linux or RTOSs.
  • Experience with data analysis & machine learning, including Python ML & data libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, or equivalent).
  • Experience developing, launching, or maintaining technical products in relevant commercial industries (e.g. industrial, medical, automotive, IoT, or related markets).
  • Track record of teaming, leading, and consulting to drive ambitious technical projects to success in lean distributed remote organizations.
  • Fostering a growth mindset with a demonstrated history of learning, adapting, improving, and growing individually, as a team, and with customers.

Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor's in computer science, data science, computer engineering, or related scientific/technical field
  • Master’s degree preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
  • OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
