OverviewJoin to apply for the Sr Quality & Reliability Engineer role at TE ConnectivityAt TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Why You Should JoinAs Emergency Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will be support & mentor the current Jnr QE W&C Apprentice helping to oversee the Wire & Cable value stream to ensure all products meet company standards and relevant industry specifications.What your main tasksCustomer Quality & Performance – Advise & mentor the current W&C Jnr QE ApprenticeSupport on Notices of Escape (NOE), escalated or high-impact customer issues, and formal customer improvement programsCommunication & Collaboration – Support with customer communicationsSupport & advise on deviations and concessions with customers, ensuring proper documentation and sign-offComplaint Management & Problem Solving – Support with customer complaints using a collaborative “TEam” approachSupport the drive for cross-functional engagement to deliver robust timely 8D responses via TECHS, including:Root cause analysisCorrective and preventive actionsValidation of effectivenessContinuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives – Support & direct the apprentice on “Zero Defect” culture using proactive tools such as:Lean (TEOA)PFMEAPoka-YokeWhat your background should look likeEducation & Experience: Has extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, within aerospace, military, or automotive sectors, in a Quality Engineering role – 10 years minimum.Industry Knowledge: SME on Wire & Cable production processes, including material extrusion.Technical Competence: Technically minded with a practical, hands-on approach. Able to interpret a wide range of technical drawings and specifications.Quality Tools & Planning: Experienced in quality planning and the application of tools such as Histograms, Pareto analysis, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans.Problem Solving: Skilled in 8D methodology and associated tools including 3x5-Why, Is/Is Not analysis, and Ishikawa (fishbone) diagrams.Collaboration & Influence: Demonstrates strong team spirit and the ability to influence and drive cross-functional collaboration. Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders across diverse cultures.Organisation & Initiative: Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
