CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two component security product: a sensor (a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and provides on box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud) and a cloud component that aggregates sensor telemetry to correlate malicious behavior across machines and present a prioritized threat summary to our customers operations teams. The sensors team builds the endpoint sensor deployed on Windows, Mac, and Linux. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own major components and development projects, assist with architecting solutions, and help implement core features. The role is remote in the UK.
What Youll Do
- Provide partnership in the Windows kernel-mode sensor development team involved in architecture, strategy, in building and improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response Security Software.
- Develop new product concepts.
- Support development teams in designing and building software with cross-platform deliverables (Windows, Mac, Linux).
- Own features from design to delivery including participation in product demos at the end of the sprint.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations.
What Youll Need
- In-depth knowledge with C++ and Windows OS Kernel Development.
- Strong low-level OS internals in either Windows, Mac OS, or Linux.
- Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions and system performance.
- Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.
- Lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
Preferred Requirements
- OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems such as WFP, TCP/IP, USB, and file systems.
- Knowledge in Security.
- Strong background in scalable, lightweight and highly performing systems.
- Familiarity and experience with Agile process.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
