We are an Engineering team of close to 100 with offices in Copenhagen, London, and Edinburgh. You can work from the office, flex, or remotely (Denmark or UK). We’ll help you set up your workstation and stay connected with your team no matter where you are.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the delivery of major initiatives, balancing timely delivery with sustainable engineering practices.
  • Coordinate the work of various teams and individuals into a cohesive, achievable plan aligned with company goals, milestones, and user experience standards.
  • Apply your expertise to improve Trustpilot’s capabilities in your domain.
  • Develop and share innovative strategies to ensure quality, production readiness, scalability, and ongoing health of our apps and systems.
  • Identify and mitigate high-risk elements of projects, communicating issues, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to recruit, develop, and support highly qualified professionals.
  • Mentor others and promote knowledge sharing on technologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, listening to diverse perspectives to reach shared goals.

Your experience has given you

  • Several years of Backend Software Engineering experience at Senior, Principal, or Staff Engineer level.
  • In-depth knowledge of Javascript/Typescript-based full-stack service/microservice development (e.g., Node.js).
  • Extensive experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS), message queues (e.g., SQS), and databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
  • Experience with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Strategic, detail-oriented thinking with the ability to develop and execute plans.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and delivering scalable systems.
  • Extensive stakeholder management across multiple functions and domains, with the ability to align diverse teams.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and helping them grow their skills.
  • A customer-centric, pragmatic approach to technical decisions and a bias toward action.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating complex problems to diverse audiences.
  • Exposure to or experience with app development (iOS, Android, and cross-platform frameworks).
