Staff Network Engineer – Global CFD Trading Venue

We are looking for a Staff Network Engineer to join our globally distributed team in a mission-critical role. This is a hands-on production engineering position where performance, availability, and automation are paramount. You will design, implement, and optimise ultra-low latency networks that underpin trading systems across our hubs in the EU, APAC, and US.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and support high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure.
• Administer, debug, and tune Linux systems supporting network operations.
• Develop and maintain network automation tools leveraging REST APIs, scripting, and orchestration frameworks.
• Architect and optimise on-prem and AWS networking across a global footprint.
• Perform network maintenance and engineering across Cisco IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XR, IOS-XE platforms.
• Support and optimise multicast, routing, and security environments (Checkpoint firewalls, F5 load balancers).
• Partner with IT, Production Support, and Development teams to enhance resilience and efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and liaise with global vendors, third parties, and local teams to deliver solutions that work at scale.

What you’ll bring

• CCNP/CCIE-level networking expertise, covering protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VXLAN, MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC, RSTP, multicast (IGMP, PIM Sparse/Dense).
• Proven track record delivering network automation (Python, Bash, Ruby, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Jinja2, Django).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with deep knowledge of infrastructure performance and latency optimisation.
• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical financial or low-latency environments.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills, able to cut through detail and explain complex topics simply.
• Straight-talking, delivery-focused mindset—comfortable operating in a fast-paced, globally dispersed environment where results matter.
