Stress Engineers – Gas Turbines (Outside of IR35) — Certain Advantage is hiring for Stress Engineers – Gas Turbines in the Derby area. This role is on a contract basis and hybrid-based.

We’re working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries—from aerospace and automotive to healthcare and semiconductors.

The Role

This role is for a Stress Engineer - Gas Turbines — someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Stress analysis on development projects
• Compliance with aerospace industry standards
• Contribution to innovating in New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes

The Individual

We’re looking for people who can show:

• Stress and Lifting (fatigue, damage tolerance/ fracture mechanics)
• Rotor dynamics
• Development rig analysis and integration
• Preparation and review of certification reports
• Performing design calculation
