Stress Engineer / Analyst Location: Huddersfield (4 days on site per week) Clearance: UK Eyes Only – Sole UK Nationals, Security Cleared or Eligible for Security Clearance Industry: Aerospace & Defence Contract Length: 12 months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Rate: £40–£50 per hour (depending on experience)
We are looking for two highly skilled Stress Engineers / Analysts to join a leading Aerospace & Defence engineering team in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile projects spanning the full product lifecycle – from design and development through to production and customer support.
The Role As a Stress Engineer / Analyst, you will carry out detailed stress and structural analyses to ensure all designs meet required safety, integrity, and performance standards. You’ll be involved in design reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Perform stress and structural analyses using both hand calculations and finite element analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MSC NASTRAN, Altair HyperMesh).

Plan and execute tasks to meet project timelines, budgets, and KPI targets.
