Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Stress Analyst to join on a contract basis, supporting structural analysis activities across a range of projects. The role involves working with both aluminium and composite components, providing expertise that contributes to safe, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out detailed stress analysis of aluminium and composite structures.
- Use classical methods and FEA to validate and optimise designs.
- Provide input on materials, manufacturing constraints, and design improvements.
- Prepare and present clear technical reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant industry and safety standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrable experience in structural or stress analysis roles.
- Strong background in both aluminium and composite materials.
- Track record in aerospace, marine, or defence engineering environments.
- Proficiency with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD data effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of certification standards within aerospace, marine, or defence sectors.
- Familiarity with fatigue and damage tolerance assessments.
- Experience contributing to design reviews and technical discussions.
