Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Stress Analyst to join on a contract basis, supporting structural analysis activities across a range of projects. The role involves working with both aluminium and composite components, providing expertise that contributes to safe, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Carry out detailed stress analysis of aluminium and composite structures.
  • Use classical methods and FEA to validate and optimise designs.
  • Provide input on materials, manufacturing constraints, and design improvements.
  • Prepare and present clear technical reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry and safety standards.


What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrable experience in structural or stress analysis roles.
  • Strong background in both aluminium and composite materials.
  • Track record in aerospace, marine, or defence engineering environments.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.


Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of certification standards within aerospace, marine, or defence sectors.
  • Familiarity with fatigue and damage tolerance assessments.
  • Experience contributing to design reviews and technical discussions.
