The Position

You’ll be responsible for designing steel structures and connections,
ensuring buildability, compliance, and production efficiency. Your role will
include:

Designing steel structures, steel-to-steel connections, and
interfaces with concrete

Producing detailed calculations and sketches for client approval
and fabrication

Using IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Structures, and Robot Structural
Analysis to support your designs

Applying the SCI Green Book methodology to ensure compliance and
quality

Collaborating with project managers to align design with
construction needs

Reviewing client drawings and specifications to identify design
requirements

Supporting preconstruction teams with technical input at tender
stage

Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work for quality
assurance

Responding to design queries from clients, architects, and
contractors

About You

Degree in Structural Engineering (Master’s degree a bonus)

Chartered, or actively working towards chartership

Strong experience designing steel structures and connections

Proficient with IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Structures, and Robot
Structural Analysis

Solid knowledge of SCI Green Book methodology

Good understanding of industry standards and regulations

Ability to mentor and support junior engineers

Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
