DK Recruitment is seeking a Graduate or Structural Engineer to join our Plymouth-based client, delivering projects across the domestic and commercial sectors. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with regular site visits in the Plymouth/South Devon area.

The Role

Working closely with the Director, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks including site inspections, structural calculations, drawing preparation, and client liaison. You’ll help deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and practical structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site inspections and structural surveys

*

Produce design calculations and technical drawings

*

Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes

*

Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders

*

Prepare reports and respond to technical queries during construction

*

Support project management and cost tracking

Requirements:

*

Degree in Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng)

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

*

Proficiency with structural analysis software & Microsoft Office

*

Willingness to travel for site visits

Desirable:

*

Experience in building structures (graduate to senior level)

*

Working towards or achieved Chartered status (ICE/IStructE)

*

Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
