Suppression Systems Service Engineer / Permanent / London / Salary up to £45,000

Position 1 Recruitment looking for a Suppression Systems Service Engineer to join our client UK’s leading expert in water mist fire protection.

Key Responsibilities of Suppression Systems Service Engineer:

* Attend customer sites across the UK (mainly London area) to carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs on fire suppression systems, with a focus on sprinklers and water mist systems.

* Maintenance & Fault-Finding: Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, diagnose system faults, and complete effective repairs in a safe and thorough manner.

* Customer Service: Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, providing clear updates on system status.

* Call-Out Duties: Respond promptly during designated on-call periods and keep availability for emergency callouts.

What We’re looking for:

* Proven hands-on experience working with fire suppression systems, with a particular focus on sprinklers and mist systems.

* Level 3 electrical qualification, with 17th or 18th Edition certification highly desirable

* They will possess a solid understanding of fire protection industry standards and demonstrate awareness of QHSE regulations and compliance requirements.

* A valid CSCS card, or the ability to obtain one

* Full UK driving licence, flexibility to work on-call and respond at short notice, and the ability to obtain any necessary security clearances.

What’s on Offer:

* The role is Monday to Friday, with weekends optional

* Once fully trained and proficient with system knowledge (typically after six months), you will join an on-call rota, covering one week at a time.

* Standard working days are 10 hours, with start and finish times varying, so flexibility is essential.

* Company Vehicle: Company van provided for engineers,

* Uniform: Professional work attire supplied.

* Life Insurance: Death in Service cover of three times annual salary upon successful completion of probation.

* Annual Leave: 24 days per year plus bank holidays. Three days are reserved between Christmas and New Year when the company closes.
