System Development Engineer, WW AMZL In-House ControlsWe are seeking System Development Engineers to join our In-House Controls team within World-Wide Central Engineering. This global role requires a dynamic individual ready to travel and lead the deployment of cutting-edge automation solutions across our international network. The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, demonstrate Bias for Action, and be prepared to lead complex software development and implementation for automation systems.Basic Qualifications:Professional software development experience (non-internship)Experience with designing and creating architecture for scalable systems using modern design patternsProficiency in at least one programming languageStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex systemsExcellent communication skills across diverse cultural contextsExperience with IEC 61131-3 Structured Text programming languagePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalentExperience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsExperience with CODESYS development environmentExperience building and delivering complex software systems to customersKnowledge of industrial automation systemsExperience with building IoT solutionsSubstantial experience in developing and implementing control system applications for industrial automationAdditional Requirements:Willingness to travel up to 20% according to business needs.Key job responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement software solutions for automation systemsLead global deployments of software projectsManage high-impact software releases to ensure minimal operational disruptionTrain and mentor engineering team membersDrive continuous improvement initiativesContribute to engineering reviews, impacting solutions for systems and architectureAnalyze system performance and provide optimization recommendationsAbout the teamOur In-House Controls (IHC) team within World-Wide Central Engineering develops, deploys, and scales automated solutions globally. We deliver pioneering solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing and new facilities worldwide. IHC will develop and deploy the software for all future WW AMZL automation, from software design through to commissioning and deployment and operational on-call support.
