This role is based in the Complex Weapons Sector and involves technical project management and certification of military or industrial-grade equipment. From laser weapons to air defence missiles, and naval strike to deep strike, our client is leading the charge in next-generation weapon systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical development of key weapon system equipment in a high-profile naval project
Ensure the effective development and delivery of platform interface equipment with the MK41 VLS Launch System
Act as the technical interface between the project organisation and the equipment Design Authority
Manage the derivation of technical requirements and integration strategy with peer systems
Oversee the technical interface including cost considerations and routes to sustained manufacture
Contribute to engineering lifecycle activities such as trade studies and design reviews
Handle the challenges of implementing developed items, focusing on modularity and re-use
Lead a focused team to deliver on project commitments
Job Requirements:
Experience in weapons systems engineering and project engineering
Interest in technical project management and certification of military or industrial-grade equipment
Ability to manage technical requirements and integration strategies effectively
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage team dynamics
Understanding of project lifecycle management
Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with clients and internal teams
Flexibility for hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week on-site
British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship required
