A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a System Design & Verification Engineer – Sea Viper Programme to join a key system design team supporting the next phases of the programme.
This role reports to the technical lead and provides high-profile engagement across the programme, including interactions with senior partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Progress system design verification and validation activities for the project
*
Support the maturation of the qualification strategy
*
Support key design reviews
*
Collate sub-system evidence to support compliance arguments and present to internal governance teams and customers for sign-off
*
Generate progress metrics and present to senior team
*
Identify key risk areas
*
Build relationships with customers, industry partners, and suppliers, including supporting relevant customer working groups
*
Engage with sub-system design authorities
The ideal candidate would have:
*
Systems engineering background with awareness of different phases of the CADMID cycle from concept to manufacture, particularly demonstration and manufacture phases
*
Experience in V&V planning, trials planning, qualification evidence and collation, and of certification documents
*
Awareness of industry standard systems engineering processes
*
Awareness of weapon system design concepts, with experience in air defence systems desirable; some knowledge of command & control, missile, and radar design is advantageous
*
Ability to produce concise, coherent, and detailed technical reports of high quality
*
Ability to work confidently in ambiguous situations and manage multiple conflicting priorities
The ideal candidate must have:
*
Experience in system design verification and validation within complex defence programmes
*
Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
*
Demonstrable experience in supporting qualification, certification, or compliance activities
