OverviewIn the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to manage product requirements, specifications & their compliance throughout the product development cycle using validation & verification processes.ResponsibilitiesWork within a cross-functional project team of up to 20 people, including external teams/suppliers for work package management and supplied items development.Report directly to the Project Technical Integrator; provide analysis/data/documents to team members and to the Project Technical Integrator, including validation & verification KPIs, verification plan with full requirements traceability, design specifications for sub-systems, compliance matrices & respective KPIs at various system levels, and a requirements traceability matrix.Liaise with the project team to coordinate requirements validation and the intent of compliance status.Create a robust verification plan and travel as required within the UK or internationally to liaise with project stakeholders/suppliers.Manage requirements on engineering projects to ensure they are fully documented and traceable in line with the Requirements Management Plan.Capture & validate all stakeholder requirements (internal and external) and review them with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers.Work with the engineering project team to ensure validation & verification activities are completed on time to support Master Engineering Reviews.Develop the product verification strategy and obtain agreement from all stakeholders; provide status reports for requirements capture, compliance status, validation and verification.Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval; liaise with Engineering Design / DMU configurator to maintain product configuration.Capture and manage Interfaces / Definition Control Models (DCM) to define the required requirements traceability; support the engineering change process and Engineering proposals in response to MCP requests on an NPI project.QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Chemical, Software, or Computer Engineering.A minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering development project team within Design, Stress, Manufacturing or Certification Engineering.A minimum of 1 year of experience in Systems Engineering requirements management, validation & verification (V&V).Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to define operational, functional and physical requirements.Experience in progressing DFMEA with a cross-functional development team.Team collaboration ability to work effectively in a collaborative project team environment.Problem solving ability to use robust methods to address problems systematically.Communication ability to effectively communicate within a project team environment.This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including criminal record checks.
