OverviewSystems Engineer (MilSatcom) - 1894This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Systems Engineer to join a leading defence and aerospace company in their Portsmouth, UK office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, integration, and rollout of cutting-edge digital telecommunications systems, with a focus on military satellite communications (MilSatcom) projects.ResponsibilitiesRequirements capture and definition, ensuring stakeholder needs are met through to sub-system implementationOwnership of traceability and verification processesSupporting Verification, Validation, and Test (VV&T) activitiesDefining ground system-level architectural designs and trade-offsCollaborating with Engineering Leads and Partners to develop segment and sub-system architecturesProviding technical proposal inputs and supporting customer and internal governance reviewsContributing to project management and planning activities as requiredQualificationsA university degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related disciplineProven experience in the design, integration, and rollout of end-to-end digital telecommunications systems, preferably in the MilSatcom domainKnowledge of Waterfall or Agile methodologies and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated toolsStrong customer-facing and stakeholder management skillsExcellent presentation and technical writing abilitiesContract DetailsThis position is a contract role based onsite in Portsmouth.
