The role As a Systems Engineer, you will: Carry out systems engineering and analysis across a wide product range Work collaboratively with product line, software and mechanical engineering teams Support sales and business development with technical proposals, notes and reports Provide accurate time and cost estimates for projects Identify risks during new product introduction and propose effective mitigation Keep up to date with relevant systems engineering techniques, proposing new solutions where appropriate Visit customers and suppliers when required What we’re looking for Degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Electronics or similar (essential) Proven experience in systems engineering, ideally in electro-optics, electro-mechanics, defence or homeland security Experience with FMEA analysis Strong mathematical skills, plus knowledge of Matlab/Octave, C# or Python Effective communicator, able to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders Flexible, team-focused approach with a positive, solution-driven mindset The benefits £45,000 - £50,000 DOE 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off) Profit-sharing scheme Pension and life assurance Private healthcare (Benenden) Recognition and engagement initiatives This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, growing organisation where you’ll be a key part of delivering innovative, high-quality products to a global market.
