What You Will Do:
As a Systems Engineer at Johnson Controls, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional engineering services that truly make a difference to our customers. Your main focus will be on providing top-notch system maintenance, installations, and service delivery that consistently exceed expectations. By doing so, you will help solidify Johnson Controls' reputation as a trusted partner in delivering world-class engineering solutions.
In this dynamic role, you will take full ownership of all engineering service activities, encompassing system installations, planned and preventative maintenance, and prompt responses to technical call-outs. Your ability to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and customers will be vital, as will your commitment to maintaining excellent communication and precise paperwork and billing records.
As a key member of the Services and Maintenance Team, your proactive and independent work ethic will shine, while your collaborative spirit will enhance our wider team efforts. You will provide your expertise in troubleshooting technical issues and work closely with both new and existing customers to optimize and enhance their systems. Additionally, your participation in the on-call rota for 24/7 engineering support will be invaluable.
How You Will Do It:
- Collaborate with customers, project management teams, and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver tailored system requirements and innovative solutions.
- Manage system installations and maintenance tasks while monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure for peak performance.
- Strive to ensure that all solutions and services meet or exceed customer expectations consistently.
- Assist in the commissioning of new installations and facilitate smooth customer sign-off.
- Conduct thorough site surveys and prepare detailed technical reports to contribute to accurate project costings and designs.
- Complete all project and service-related documentation efficiently to meet business timelines and operational standards.
- Adhere to Johnson Controls’ procedures and uphold Health & Safety policies diligently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an electrical role or a related field-based position.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective internal and external interactions with customers.
- A self-driven, enthusiastic individual who can work independently and take initiative.
- A professional demeanour coupled with a customer-centric approach.
Capabilities:
- Willingness to travel and spend time away from home to support nationwide contracts.
- Self-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer engineering services consistently.
- Reliable and capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to achieve and maintain government-level SC clearance.
