A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join a leading European defence company, to assist with the design and delivery of next- combat air systems within an ambitious and pioneering programme.

You will be involved with sysrtem concept development, requirements elicitation, architectural processes, and cross-functional support, reporting to senior engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

* Delivery of key System of Systems concepting activities

* Elicitation and decomposition of requirements

* Development and management of architectural processes using Model Based Engineering tools

* Collaborating with design teams to define and communicate system concepts, trades, and design principles

* Supporting cross-functional assessment and analysis activities

* Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate would ideally have:

* Strong analytical and systems thinking skills, capable of developing and communicating new concepts and architectures

* Experience presenting and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders

* The ability to take responsibility for decisions affecting multiple design domains or system elements

* Capability to influence and drive project narratives

* Willingness to learn and deliver as part of an agile, collaborative team

* Excellent organisational, attention to detail, and communication skills

The ideal candidate must have:

* Experience working in complex engineering environments with systems-of-systems concepts

* Familiarity with Model Based Engineering tools and architectural processes
