Social network you want to login/join with:ZeroAvia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Safety Engineer to support our system safety assessments for our engine type certification applications and permit-to-fly test aircraft approvals from aviation regulators.ZeroAvia is at the forefront of a new clean aviation ecosystem, and the successful candidate will be joining a world-class team that is passionate about designing and delivering solutions that are not just carbon-emission free but also cost-effective.Main Responsibilities:Working within the System Safety Team as part of a UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation, the Systems Safety Engineer is responsible for;Conducting Qualitative and Quantitative Safety Analyses at System and Aircraft Level based on the ARP4761A standard (FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMECA, CMA, PRA, ZSA etc.)Generating safety requirements for the system and sub-system design teams and working collaboratively to ensure compliance.Creating reasoned safety arguments for complex and novel systems and communicating these to relevant stakeholders.Supporting familiarisation and panel reviews with the UK CAA and other regulatory authorities.RequirementsEssential Experience/Qualifications:At least 5 years of practical experience in a similar role.Aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent experience in aerospace industry.Strong working knowledge of Aircraft / System Safety Assessment following ARP4761A (or an equivalent standard) including FHA, FTA, FMEA, CMA etc.Awareness of commercial aerospace certification regulations for aircraft and/or engines; e.g. Part 23/ CS-23, Part 33/ CS-E, etc.Good working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and ALARP justifications.Other Beneficial Experience/Qualifications:Knowledge of safety assurance techniques for new safety critical products / components.Experience with writing and managing system requirements.Knowledge of systems development following ARP4754 (or equivalent standard).Knowledge of Reliability prediction techniques e.g., MIL-HBK-217F.Knowledge of Software Certification to DO-178C or Hardware Certification to DO-254.Previous approval as Part 21J Compliance Verification Engineer for Systems Safety.General experience of working within a Part21J Design Organisation environment.Why Join Us?We want to help you be your best self, at work and at home, that’s why we provide our employees with…Private health and dental care – get access to services and support when you need them.
