Systems Service Engineer
Location: Thornbury, Bristol, BS35
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reports to: General Manager

Our client are UK specialists in the design, manufacture and support of High Vacuum Systems and Freeze Dryers.

Duties will include
Deliver services for specialist process equipment, including vacuum degassing and drying systems, gas sampling and particulate collection units, and nuclear monitoring systems
Perform planned maintenance and breakdown support
Troubleshoot faults across EC&I, mechanical and vacuum systems
Ensure safety compliance with site protocols and regulations
Communicate technical findings, provide recommendations and produce clear service reports
Support internal engineering, system builds, testing, commissioning and technical schematic reviews
Provide field feedback for design enhancements
Travel across the UK for servicing, undertaking overnight stays when required to support their nationwide customer base Skills & Experience
Good technical foundation with ability to apply and develop hands-on skills across engineering environments
Practical understanding of electrical, control and instrumentation systems
Experience with vacuum or gas applications (e.g., compressors, instrumentation, pressure monitoring)
Strong fault-finding aptitude
Knowledge of high-vacuum systems
Eligibility to develop into an SQEP (Suitably Qualified & Experienced Person) for nuclear work (training provided)
Excellent communication skills
Full, clean UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and work away from home
Exposure or experience in regulated industries is desirable (nuclear, aerospace, pharma, defence, etc.)
Existing SC/CTC security clearance desirable or the ability to obtain Compensation & Benefits
